Portable Portrait Mobile was an installation that emerged during a Media Knitting workshop held at the Dutch Electronic Arts Festival in Rotterdam. The project reimagines the idea of street art with a new media spin.

david lu, designer/developer
David Lu is an American interaction designer with an extensive background in software development and prototyping. He was awarded a BA in Computer Science (as well as Economics and Psychology) from Rutgers College in 1998 and went on to work as a web developer for four years before switching to design. He studied at Interaction Design Institute Ivrea in Italy, and has since carved out roles as an interaction designer and technologist at beloved design offices in New York, San Francisco, and Seattle. His work has appeared in such publications as Communication Arts, Domus, Gizmodo, How, ID, Metropolis, and SEGD magazines.
David's iOS project, Vellum, was an App Store featured app in 2010 and has attracted a cult following internationally. His collaborations with the art collective Futurefarmers have been exhibited at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and Whitney Artport. Currently, he bridges the gap between design and development at Microsoft.
